The Government of Rwanda and Development Partners Retreat is a senior-level two day retreat aimed at bringing together stakeholders in Rwanda’s development to review and discuss coordination, harmonization and alignment programs in order to improve the effectiveness of development assistance for Rwanda.

In 2005, the Development Partners Coordination Group (DPCG) held the First Development Partners Retreat in Gisenyi, Rwanda.  It was found to be a highly effective forum for jointly reviewing progress in aid management as well as for the planning of development coordination processes.

The DPR is by attended by representatives of the Government of Rwanda, Multilateral and Bilateral Donors, the Private Sector, as well as International and National NGOs. The DPR features plenary and working group sessions based on the main objectives of the retreat.
